Yesterday we held a surprise 50th birthday party for my dad. His actual birthday isn’t until September, but mom decided it would be more fun to do it in the middle of summer! It turned out great! Carolyn, one of my mom’s friends, was an excellent hostess as usual and prepared some amaaaazing food! Mom also hired a band called “The Fossils” from Lockhart and they were actually pretty good. Played mostly stuff from the ’60s and ’70s.
